NUMBER-SHAPE MATCHING
According to the Montessori approach, it is important for mathematics education at the age of 3 and over. Contrary to the abstract information of mathematics; The introduction of numbers in a way that children can touch, see and experience is of great importance in terms of being memorable and meaningful.
In this activity, we matched the numbers with the same number of shapes. We drew hearts suitable for every figure on the tongue sticks. We wrote the same numbers on the caps and made a matching activity of caps and sticks. It was a good work both to recognize and repeat the spelling of the numbers and to determine which number it represents by counting the figures. It is also very useful for attention and concentration development.
You can also try this activity, which you can easily apply at home, with different shapes, materials and colors. We wish you convenience…
